I keep reading that as "Deviant Tart", which suits me just fine (knowing me would come in handy here, although "Deviant Snark" might be more appropriate).  I have been away from my art for quite some time and am currently running on a friend's system, without access to my own work.  Even worse, there is an appalling lack of graphics programs on here.

I just started an anonymous blog elsewhere, so I will probably not journal much here except when it comes to artwork.  But browsing through all the wonderful artwork here is just the inspiration to shift my butt in gear, so thank you all!  I can't remember how I got here, but I was just browsing the internet before going to sleep... that was more than 6 hours ago, and I'm still mentally slobbering over all your pictures.  Staying up all night isn't exactly healthy for me (chronically ill), but it was well worth it.

I need to hunt down some old drives to start transferring programs/artwork over and then I need to get to work.  In the meantime I am going to upload a few pieces.  Unfortunately, most of them are lower resolution - I lost a hard drive awhile back, and had to retrieve some of my art from online profiles I'd created (thank the Goddess for that!).  It has probably been 3 years since I have created anything (on the computer), but the urge is back and I'm itching to get started.  Depending on how I feel, I may only upload one or two - I am kind of retentive when it comes to quality.  Show me a 1600 x 1200 and I'll show you the three pixels that need smoothing out.

I primarily started in 3D rendering, using TrueSpace before moving to Adobe Photoshop, (initially just to touch up my work, then gradually to create from scratch).  A few years after that I moved to mixed media (forgive me if I'm mis-categorizing), taking photographs and digitally editing them, or pulling them into TrueSpace.  Kai's Power Tools was a must, and I'm hoping they're still around.  One of the things I loved about TrueSpace was building a scene, instead of drawing it (comes in handy, if ever needed to "prove" that bit of art is yours too :D).  It will be fun to have people around who understand the 3D virtual space - I can stop trying to explain to my friends why building it is a lot more fun.

Thanks to those who post which programs they're using to create their images!  I'm a bit behind and may actually go software/freeware/beta-ware hunting.  But mostly I'm looking forward to getting back to my old TrueSpace/Photoshop.  Please let me know if you catch any spelling mistakes, but don't worry about the grammar - my second-grade teacher used to refer to me as the "Comma Queen".

Peace,
